This program will include psycho-education and review of topics concerning current youth culture,
basic parenting styles, and family of origin issues. This will be highlighted with an ethical standards
review of confidentiality as it pertains to working with minors. Participants will, also, participate in group case study reviews in small groups with large group discussions about the ethical
considerations of the case studies. Additionally, participants will look at ethical standards of self-care
when dealing with the added stress of communication with parents of minors.

*Participants will be able to identify and explain issues concerning current youth culture in addition to four basic parenting styles *Participants will be able to recognize models concerning youth and adolescent development and family of origin*Participants will be able to analyze, discuss, and apply ethical considerations in small and large groups as it pertains to various case studies dealing with parents of minor clients. *Participants will compare and contrast self-care practices with ethical considerations and their own level of self-care, in addition to having an opportunity to formulate a plan to improve their level of self-care.
